Gardner's Art Through the Ages (with Artstudy Student CD-ROM and Infotrac)
Gardner's Art Through the Ages (with Artstudy Student CD-ROM and Infotrac)
The market-leading text for the art history survey course, GARDNER'S ART THROUGH THE AGES has served as a comprehensive and thoughtfully crafted guide to the defining phases of the world's artistic tradition. With this book in hand, thousands of students have watched the story of art unfold in its full historical, social, religious, economic, and cultural context, and thus deepened their understanding of art, architecture, painting, and sculpture. By virtue of its comprehensive coverage, strong emphasis on context, and rich, accurate art reproductions, GARDNER'S ART THROUGH THE AGES has earned and sustained a reputation of excellence and authority. So much so, that in 2001, the Text and Academic Authors Association awarded both the McGuffey and the "Texty" Book Prizes to the Eleventh Edition of the text. It is the first art history book to win either award and the only title ever to win both prizes in one year. The Twelfth Edition maintains and exceeds the richness of the Gardner legacy with updated research and scholarship and an even more beautiful art program featuring more color images than any other art history book available. The Twelfth Edition features such enhancements as more color photographs, a stunning new design, and the most current research and scholarship. What's more, the expanded ancillary package that accompanies GARDNER'S ART THROUGH THE AGES, features a wealth of tools to enhance your students' experience in the course. With each new copy of the book, students receive a copy of the ArtStudy 2.0 CD-ROM--an interactive electronic study aid that fully integrates with the Twelfth Edition and includes hundreds of high-quality digital images, plus maps, quizzes, and more.

Video art - Video art, is a subset of artistic works which relies on "moving pictures" and is comprised of video and/or audio data. ((It should not however be confused with television or experimental cinema) The precise medium of storing this data is variable and at the discretion of the artist; the medium of storage is usually magnetic video tape although the data may also be stored as a computer file (or files) on a Hard Disk, CD-ROM, DVD, solid state, indeed any electronic storage format.

Compact Disc + Extended Graphics - Compact Disc + Extended Graphics (CD+EG, also known as CD+XG) is an improved variant of the Compact Disc + Graphics (CD-G) format. Like CD-G, CD+EG utilizes basic CD-ROM features to display text and video information in addition to the music being played.

CD-ROM - The CD-ROM (an abbreviation for "Compact Disc Read-Only Memory") is a non-volatile optical data storage medium using the same physical format as audio CDs, readable by a computer with a CD-ROM drive. A CD-ROM is a flat, metallized plastic disc with digital information encoded on it in a spiral from the center to the outside edge.

El Torito (CD-ROM standard) - The El Torito Bootable CD Specification is an extension to the ISO 9660 CD-ROM specification. It is designed to allow a computer to boot from a CD-ROM.

Canonsburg Beginning Perry Como (May 18, 1912 - May 12, 2001) was one of America's most popular crooners during the last half the the 20th century. Gene Lees - 1968 Perry is the only artist who has ever had "ten" records to go over the magic million-copies mark (including, incidentally, ‘Till the End of Time (based of course on Chopin’s "Polonaise"), and the rest is not only professional skill and assurance but the painstaking care he takes in the preparation of a song — is always in evidence. Whether performing the turn-of-the-century songs, for which he has shown a considerable fondness, or the most current popular music, Como always seems at home and at ease. In 1942 Weems dissolved his band and Perry went on to CBS where he sang for a couple of years without parallel by any other recording artist of the era. All rights reserved. Now every time I sing Only Girl, I get an added kick with those memories. Came 1945 and Como’s practically perfect reading of the Buddy Kaye-Ted Mossman pop ballad, ‘Till the End of Time, Prisoner o... Maybe to lots of youngsters it’s a brand new tune, but I’m sure it holds a pocketful of dreams for others of the slightly older generation. Pierino Ronald Como was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. * Mashups are the computer-assisted blending of art cd listening music rom w.
